    • Power of Attorney from the entity surviving the merger duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Certificate of Merger duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Copy of the Registration Certificate.

     

  • License

    • Power of Attorney from the licensee duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Copy of the License Agreement duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Copy of the Registration Certificate.

  • General Information

    1. Search - Not possible
    2. Examination - Formality and substantive
    3. Publication - Applications are published after grant
    4. Opposition period - 90 Days from publication date
    5. Exploitation - Working of patents in Iraq is an official requirement within a period of three (3) years
    6. Annuities - Annuities are to be paid every year on the anniversary of the date of filing date. However, payment of annuities may not be made to the Patent Office except after the grant of the patent, that is, some annuities will be paid in retrospect
    7. Term of protection - 20 years from filing date

    • Power of Attorney, from the entity surviving the merger, duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Certificate of Merger duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.

    3. Application with multiple figuers - Acceptable

    • Power of Attorney, from the Assignee, duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Deed of Assignment signed by both Assignor and Assignee, duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.

  • Change of Name and/or Address

    • Power of Attorney, in the new name and/or address, duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Certificate of Change of Name and/or Address duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.

  • Merger

    • Power of Attorney, from the entity surviving the merger, duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Certificate of Merger duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.

  • Registration Requirements

    • Power of Attorney duly legalized by the Iraqi Consulate.
    • Copy of the trademark Registration Certificate of the domain name in Iraq.
    • Letter on the letterhead of the applicant addressed to Communication and Media Commission (CMC), signed and sealed by the authorized person to sign in the name of applicant.
    • Copy of the passport of the authorized person to sign in the name of applicant.
    • Application form also signed and sealed by a person authorized to sign in the name of applicant.
    • DNS number (primary and secondary servers).
